Gente Review

After working on personal projects as producers of new artists, Nacho Maño and Juan Luis Giménez team up once again with singer Soledad Giménez to make their eighth full-length record. Gente opens with its main title and first single hit, followed by the acoustic pop "La Mujer Que Mueve el Mundo." This well-crafted trio keeps its alternative pop/rock status with an orchestrated ballad called "Parte de Mi," the bossa nova-inflected "La Alegría," and the jazz-rock "Calor." Experimenting with new elements without losing their seductive and relaxed style, the artists have created a contemporary and interesting "rock en Español" album. ~ Drago Bonacich, All Music Guide
