"Guaranteed Real Teenagers" the CD sleeve announces, and that kind of cutesy kitsch is sprinkled throughout Ash's first full-length. It's very punkish, which seems to come more from the band's youth than from any particular stance. What it lacks in proficiency it makes up for in energy, and the group's songwriting talent is apparent, though still undeveloped.
