Smith's weak singing ability appeared less and less of a handicap in the mid-'90s, when such artists as Courtney Love were being featured on MTV Unplugged segments. Difficult to knock this record--considering all that happened in Smith's personal life at the time--but even more difficult to enjoy it much.
