funkybyby: Do you keep a journal and if so, what do you write in it?
launch_dangelo: I don't keep a journal. Every time I try to do it I only write for one day, and that's it.
groovebite: What's the most memorable moment of your career?
launch_dangelo: Playing "The Ballad of Dorothy Parker" with Prince.
jstheracon: D'angelo how many songs in total have you written in your life?
launch_dangelo: Oh, man I don't know. I haven't really counted, you know?

launch_dangelo: LOL. Of both. I guess it's a song of hate of love.
msvallon: What advice can you give to young women (like myself) who have low self esteem? I know it's an odd question, but I just wanted your insight.
launch_dangelo: Love yourself. God made all of us beautiful.
mobie822: What was the funniest thing that happened during the recording of the album?
launch_dangelo: We was at Electric Lady studios, and we was in the Live room, where Jimi Hendrix used to record, and I bugged out, I thought I saw something. It freaked me out, I ran out of there. That was funny.
silkdiggy: You have a lot of influences in your music, R&B, hip-hop, the blues, jazz. Do you find it difficult to incorporate all those different kinds of music into a particular song?
launch_dangelo: Um, no. All of those different styles of music, they're all really the same thing.

launch_dangelo: Thanks. This particular female influenced that song. And the old Prince songs I used to listen to.

launch_dangelo: Yeah, I did. I wanted to ask him everything, and I ended up not asking him much. He talked more than I thought he would.

launch_dangelo: I agree. I feel like most of the lyrics now are concentrating on money, and platinum ice.

launch_dangelo: I wanted to do that, I wanted to make a double-disc. We had enough music to do it, but the record company was worried it would be too much music at one time. They might have been right.
