Ne-Yo performs a cover of Billy Ocean's "Suddenly" at the All Star Lanes Bowling Alley
WITH JASON WOLFLOVER – YOUR CHART BROTHER!
The ballot for the British leg of July's Live Earth concerts opened this week, with thousands applying for tickets. The Wembley line-up includes Razorlight, Madonna and Red Hot Chili Peppers and organisers working on the Al Gore pioneered shows are determined to keep touts out. But Muse needed no encouragement to stay away, with singer Matt Bellamy questioning if "private jets for climate change" could really save the planet.

"New-rave" icons Klaxons have attempted to distance themselves completely from the genre they supposedly pioneered. In a new interview, the band revealed the scene was made-up for their own amusement and that they also want glow-sticks banned from their gigs. Anyone who has recently been injured by the party props is advised to contact the band so they can have them outlawed.

Elsewhere, Pete Doherty and Carl Barat were reunited on a dramatic night for the former Libertine duo in London. The Babyshambles star introduced his former band mate onto the stage midway through his solo gig at the Hackney Empire, before the pair ran through an ecstatically received 13-song set. Three years after Doherty and Barat last played together, not even Kate Moss could interfere in this landmark moment.

Finally, Timbaland and Justin Timberlake are understood to be working on songs for the new Madonna album. Two years after "Confessions On A Dancefloor", the Queen Of Pop once again seems intent on fashioning the most cutting-edge sonics available for her next record. Both Justin and Timbaland, who scored his first Number One on Sunday with new single "Give It To Me", are surely capable of doing just that.

Sadly, I don't love them like you do, Jason.
