| Italian pop/rock band Afterhours was formed in the late '80s, making its debut in 1988 with the release of an EP called All the Good Children Go to Hell, and soon getting special attention due to its powerful live performances. In 1990, During Christine's Sleep was released, followed by 1991's Cocaine Head. After the U.S. magazine Alternative Press reviewed it, the foursome, led by singer/guitarist Manuel Agnelli, was invited to participate in New York's New Music Seminar. Germi, released in 1995, became the first Afterhours album entirely recorded in Italian. In 1997, the band signed up to independent label Mescal, issuing Hai Paura Del Buio? and 1999's Non È Per Sempre. ~ Drago Bonacich, All Music Guide |
